Going Home Slowly - The Loft at Woody Point

June 08, 2014  •  1 Comment

Today we drove to Woody Point. The scenery was magnificent lit by the warm sun. Cheri told us to try a restaurant called The Loft. After climbing the stairs we found a quaint cafe with barrel chairs and wooden benches. There were so many hand-crafted quilts, toys, and sculptures from local artisans displayed for sale in the restaurant and shop. The food was delicious. I had fresh cod and my partner tried the chowder. We shared a slice of partridge berry pie with ice cream - the perfect end to a delightful meal. We knew we'd need some food energy to hike some of the interesting geological areas surrounding the little community.

The colours are so vibrant! I try to imagine living in a place that's so picturesque. I wonder if I'd start to take it for granted.

Lorna, be sure to include the name of the province as you blog. I get lost easily! :)

Blessings on your continued journey.
