Visiting the Ancient Forest in teh Prince George Area

On our journey from Prince George to Jasper we stopped to hike the Ancient Forest. The Ancient Forest is part of the Rainforest Conservation Corridor, one of the last places in the world where mountain caribou, wolverine, lynx, cougar, grey wolf, and both black and grizzly bear coexist. It is easily accessible and volunteers continue to add to the wooden paths on the trail. The smell of cedar fills the air and the light filters through the canopy created by these giant trees. Well worth the time to explore this natural gem.

Supper this evening was at the Caribou Grill in Valemount. The food was exceptional and the pricing reasonable. Our drive back to our motel was lit by rays of sunlight streaking through the storm clouds. Such a perfect day.
