Going Home Slowly - Spending Time with Friends in Upsala

June 27, 2014  •  Leave a Comment

I'm sure some people must have wondered why one of our stops on this trip was Upsala. This tiny community in Ontario has one of the best reasons for us to stop and that is the Lockley family. Gene worked with Ryan in Nova Scotia and we both think he and his wife Stephanie are two of the nicest people we know. Since they left Nova Scotia their little girl was born. "L" is a little darling and she charmed us both. We thank them for the kindness they extended to us. Ryan took me to get some great shots of black bears, seeing them that close was quite thrilling. The time passed very quickly and soon we had to leave but not before capturing some images of the giant mosquito (town emblem, incredibly appropriate!), the local park, Lake Milton, and the old abandoned Catholic Church. We will always have fond memories of our time in Upsala.
