Going Home Slowly - Norstead Viking Village, Newfoundland
The other attraction at L'Anse aux Meadows is Norstead Viking Village. Interpreters walk you through life in a viking village explaining how their boats, food, clothes, weapons, were made. It was such a fun experience and fascinating to watch them knitting, weaving, baking and playing games from the era.
We saw the ship The Snorri which is an exact replica of a Viking ship called a knarr. For more information about the Snorri click here
We really enjoyed getting to wear hats and helmets too ;)

Love Gene's helmet and nose protector. Was that mead in the horns? What a great place. :)
