Going Home Slowly - L’Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site of Canada
What a trip to stand on the same land which Norse People stood hundreds of years ago! We had a fantastic interpreter guide us around the site. He was born there and grew up watching and helping as the remains of the Norse camp, discovered in 1960 by Helge and Anne Stine Ingstad, was uncovered. It is the oldest known European settlement of the New World.
It is so worth the trip.
